Copper and Aluminum Prices Fall on Scaledown of China's Winter Cuts
Both copper and aluminum prices fell on Friday, partly due to the news about China's winter capacity reduction program (to reduce pollution in the country).
According to Reuters, China’s decision to avoid a comprehensive cut in winter price cuts has led to a fall in copper and aluminum prices.
Despite the fall in aluminum prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange yesterday, China's environmental restrictions may cause the base metals to move upward.
A reduction in winter production may reduce the supply of aluminum to the supply market.
